Craft Cannabis Co. is a slice of heaven in downtown Morrisville, Vermont. It’s a magical hole-in-the-wall place, on a short one-way street in the older part of town. It may take planning where to park, but it’s well-worth the effort.

Owners Courtney and Emily Ball advocate for the light and healing craft of cannabis.… hence their name.
When you walk in, it’s calm, friendly, and welcoming. Nice music plays in the background — often jazzy beats.
Their prices are wicked reasonable, with a nice selection of pipes and paraphernalia. There’s deli-style available, as well as a sweet menu of pre-rolls and pre-packaged strains and edibles.
The store, also, has guitar supplies and LPs for sale. They add new things often, so there’s a pleasant surprise each visit.
With this store, Courtney and Emily seek to build a community of folks who want to savor the bounty that is cannabis. And, they have the tenacity and smarts to do the arduous work it takes to bring an idea to fruition, which is evident the moment you walk in.
They began their cannabis business journey because they wanted to make edibles. The commercial ones on the market at the time were pricey and so, with creative juices flowing, Emily began reading scientific journals (all on a teeny tiny phone screen, mind you) until she understood the chemistry, extracting processes and molecular requirements to make effective, and tasty, edibles.
First drawn to the manufacturing end of the burgeoning legal cannabis market, they soon realized that a retail space would foster the community they sought to encourage, and would allow them to sell their products, as well as those which the amazing growers and producers that Central Vermont have to offer.
The decision to open a store was made as fast as Emily leaning in to get the attention of a ‘Zooming’ Courtney, and after a quick whisper, “let’s open a store,” Courtney immediately agreed.
And then like clockwork, and with the enormous amount of effort, dedication and vision, Craft Cannabis opened in December 2023.
A year on, it’s doing really well, Courtney and Emily are optimistic about their future in this new legal cannabis market.

Personal Review: It’s a lovely store. They are great women. They have beautiful laughs, and great affection and respect for each other, and they smile when they welcome you to their store. It’s one of my favorite shops. Nice conversation, friendly customers, great vibe. And yes… tasty options at a great price!
